ESLL Volunteer Sign-Up Genius
As an all-volunteer organization, East Sacramento Little League requires that every family donate a minimum of six (6) hours of volunteer time to league activities during the baseball/softball season PER PLAYER to assist the league in providing high-quality athletic experiences for our youth. Maximum time required per family is capped at twelve hours.

Numerous volunteer opportunities are provided throughout the season for families to actively fulfill the ESLL Volunteer Requirement including Managing a Team, Snack Shack shifts, work at League Events such as Opening Day, Hit-A-Thon, Equipment Swap, etc. The most common opportunity to complete your Volunteer Service requirement is work in our Snack Shack.
Volunteer Opportunities will be posted on the ESLL Volunteer page on a SignUp Genius as they become available. Parents should sign up for a shift on SignUp Genius to receive credit. ESLL will send an email out to all families when SignUp Genius opportunities are posted throughout the season.
HOW TO SUBMIT A VOLUNTEER DEPOSIT CHECK & DUE DATE:
ESLL REQUIRES a $200.00 Volunteer Service Deposit PER PLAYER. A check for $200.00 made out to East Sac Little League must be received and confirmed by the League at Spring Tryouts (Majors, AAA, AA and Majors, Minors and Rookies softball) or before team uniforms are distributed for Single A and Tee Ball baseball.
Deposits are capped at $300.00 per family for families with more than two children participating in the league. We require a separate check of $200.00 for one player and $100 for an additional player. Our Volunteer Coordinator manages, secures and holds all checks in coordination with our Treasurer.

COMPLETING VOLUNTEER SERVICE:
Upon completion of the six hours of volunteer service per each registered player, checks are voided by the Volunteer Coordinator, and then shredded at the completion of the season. Checks are neither mailed back nor returned in person to parents.
All volunteer work must be completed no later than the end of any post-season tournament play that ESLL hosts, usually late June/early July. Checks for Volunteer hours not completed become a payment to ESLL the day after final tournament play for our 2024 Season.
VOLUNTEER CREDIT:
Full Volunteer Credit (hours for all players in the family) given to the following:
- Team Manager
- Primary Team Coach (as verified by the Team Manager, one per team)
- Primary Team Parent (as verified by the Team Manager, one per team)
- Credit for One Child (six hours) is given to the Primary Team Scorekeeper for divisions where that is needed

Members of the ESLL Board of Directors are given full credit for all players in the league for their commitment, time and energy.
OPT-OUT OF VOLUNTEER SERVICE REQUIREMENT
If you are aware in advance that you WILL NOT be able to complete the ESLL Volunteer Service Requirement during the 2024 Spring season, or you decide that you would prefer not to volunteer, the league offers the opportunity to pay out your family volunteer service requirement in advance as a one-time donation to East Sacramento Little League.
To opt-out, simply print and complete the Opt-Out Form provided below, and mail with a check made out to East Sacramento Little League for the total deposit to:

*Please note that only one $200 donation is required PER PLAYER or a maximum of $300 PER FAMILY ($200 for the first child and $100 for the second) for families who choose to opt out with more than one player in the league.
